Busy, Busy!! One of the reasons I haven't been here much is due to madly making work for exhibition. I'm excited to be taking part in 'WIN WIN' an eclectic art exhibition in Bath UK this Nov. I'm also curating a mixed media and photography exhibition with 3 others at Walcot Gallery Bath in May 2011. I hope to make this an annual event and perhaps in Autumn 2011 curating an open textiles exhibition in which I will invite textile artist to submit work.

Textiles are so under-represented here on DA that I thought I'd start a group which will hopefully attract more textile artist to DA. Well here it is: http://textileart.deviantart.com/ So far I am the only contributor ;) So please come on over and check it out. The emphasis is on textile as art, so I guess wallhangings, quilts, artists dolls, soft sculpture is the main idea although textile as wearable art can also be inculded, so textile jewellery, cuffs, hats, etc. but it has to be art not just function or fashion. I imagine this will become clearer as the group builds.....I hope.
